Update: Only Watch 2023 will be held on the 10th of May 2024. The auction will be in the PALEXO in Geneva, and executed by Christies. It all starts at 2 pm. At the bottom of this page you will find all the highlights that are coming, and a part of the watches is described separately.
In October 2023 the Only Watch team has informed all contributors that the auction will be postponed to 2024. Originally Only Watch 2023 edition was scheduled for the 5th of November in Geneva, where 62 lots of the most renewed watch makers of the world would have been auctioned for charity. This biennial fundraiser for research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy celebrates its 10th edition this year.
This is part of their statement: “A few days before the auction, a few onlookers publicly raised questions about the organization and governance of our charity on social media, casting doubt about the sincerity of the commitment of all the parties involved in this project. We took the time to answer with elements at hand ; but part of the noise has lingered and for some, perception might have taken over the reality of our actions. To respect everybody’s work and long-time commitment, to take the time to go more into depth into answering the questions our community might have, we have taken the decision to postpone the auction to 2024.”
First launched in 2005 by its founder Luc Pettavino, Only Watch announced that the auction of 62 lots to be hammered by Christie’s will take place on a new date to be reveiled later.
Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy is a genetic disease that concerns 1 in 3,500 boys. This disease progressively weakens all the muscles and that affected the son of founder Luc Pettavino and his wife Monique. In order to raise money they kind of mobilized the watch industry to donate one-off timepieces that could be auctioned. The funds raised with this by Only Watch are used for advance research by onlyproject.org.

Only the Patek Philippe model for this auctions hasn’t been revealed yet, due Phillippe Stern’s 85th birthday in November, the father of the President of Patek Philippe. So, we’ll have to be patience…
