The Only Watch 2024 results, the biennially auction that is held in Geneva on the 10th of May 2024, are here. The auction raises more than 28 million Swiss francs. Which is about 29 million euros, 31 million US dollars and 25 million GB pounds. The auction supports the Only Watch organization for advance research by onlyproject.org. This 10th Only Watch auction, in the Palexpo congress centre in Geneva, was executed by Christie’s.
Originally it should have been held on the 5th of November in Geneva, but due to publicly raised questions about the organization and governance of the charity it was postponed. You can read about the announcement here. In the end, apparently, the air was cleared. The Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies (AMM), the organizer of Only Watch, had its financial statements audited by a certified auditor. It started with the 2023 statements and they shared the results of that audit in 2024. So, Only Watch 2023 kind of became Only Watch 2024.
The most expensive watch at Only Watch 2024
A large number of watch brands have donated a unique watch to be auctioned, most of them are on this site. In total 47 watches of the original 62 unique watches are auctioned. 15 brands, including Audemars Piguet, pulled-out of the auction after the postponement of the 2023 edition. At the 2021 Only Watch edition the Patek Philippe Complicated Desk Clock raised 9.5 million Swiss francs and scored the highest bid.
The highest bid ever on an Only Watch auction was in 2019 when the Patek Phillipe Grandmaster Chime with reference 6300A-010 was hammered at 31 million Swiss francs. Making it the most expensive watch in the world as well. And during Only Watch 2017 another Patek hits the high score during that year. The Patek Philippe Ref. 5208T-010, a minute repeater with monopusher chronograph, perpetual calendar and moon phase, was auctioned for 6.2 million Swiss francs.

So, all the eyes were focussed on the Patek Philippe Ref. 6301A-010 Grande and Petite Sonnerie, Minute Repeater. Would it get the highest bid at the Only Watch 2024 auction? Well, it was hammered at 15.7 million Swiss francs, about 16 million euros, 17.3 million US dollars or 13.8 million GB pounds. Which makes the watch the number 3 of most expensive watches in the world.
