With Ressence’s participation of this year’s Only Watch 2023 Edition, the brand is introducing the Ressence Type 12 Square. A unique watch which they donate for the biennial watch charity auction to raise funds for research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy diseases.
Dressed in a 41-millimeter grade 5 titanium case it manifests a convex German silver dial. On this dial is blue painted DNA chain that symbolizes the support for this good cause. When the brand’s signature rotating discs turn, the design changes into “the genetic chaos and hope of the disease this charity action is representing”. These changes of the dial give the buyer various designs from chaos to more abstract shapes. However, all discs arrange in line again every Sunday at midnight.

Inside the Ressence Type 12 Square is an automatic ROCS 1.3. Which is a module driven by the minute axle of a customized ETA-2892 base caliber and drives all the discs on the dial. Those discs are 3 eccentric bi-axial satellites, where the biggest is for the hours. The small one on the left are the small seconds, on the right is a day/night indication. The large central discs tell you the minutes. The watch has a power reserve of 36 hours.
Ressence provides a colorful blue calf leather strap with an ardillon buckle. The colors of the strap link to the color theme of Only Watch 2023.
