At the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2023 Roger Dubuis revealed the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Flyback Chronograph. As the Swiss brand is the official timekeeper of this big British car event full of old and brand new cars. New to the Excalibur Spider collection, launched in 2015, is a movement with Flyback Chronograph. Which is a design-wise inspired “by the advanced technology of supercar engineering”.
The result is stunning. The fully skeletonized watch has a 45-millimeter lightweight carbon case. And it matches perfectly with the black ceramic bezel. Furthermore the overall shapes somehow display a multi-dimensional design. And on the dial part you will find a tachymeter scale. And a date display at 6. Along with the chronograph’s minute counter at 3 o’clock which is hard to read, but joyful to look at. The white gold skeletonized shape hour and minute hands with super-luminova tips compliment the open-worked dial.
Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Flyback Chronograph has a power reserve of 72 hours
At the heart of the watch beats the new automatic Roger Dubuis caliber RD780. The movement displays a column wheel that is visible on the dial at 6 o’clock. And, there is a tilted balance with variable inertia at 9 o’clock. And a vertical coupling clutch, which can be admired through the sapphire case back.
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Flyback Chronograph comes on a Black rubber strap with black rubber inlay and a buckle cover with black DLC titanium with titanium blades, triple folding, interchangeable with Quick Release System.
