TAG Heuer presents the TAG Heuer Split-Seconds Chronograph for Only Watch 2023, the biennial charity auction which takes place to raise funds for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research. To give TAG Heuer’s contribution some extra spice the brand releases a mechanical split-seconds chronograph for their famous Monaco model, for the first time ever. But let’s look at the case first.

This 41-millimeter Monaco has a texturized titanium case, which is vibrant and a bit glimmery as well. The prominent crown and pushers are also from titanium, all surrounding the partly open-worked anthracite dial. On the dial are three sub counters. At t the 3 o’clock position there is the chronograph’s minute counter. Then at 9 there is the chronograph’s hour counter and lastly at 6 there are the small seconds.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph for Only Watch has a power reserve of 65 hours

The split-seconds part are the two thin central chronograph hands. So this chrono is capable of measuring two separate time intervals concurrently. Both are driven by the new automatic TAG Heuer caliber TH81-00, created specifically for this model. It is developed with Swiss manufacturer Vaucher, specialized in high-end movements. The power reserve is 65 hours.

The TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph for Only Watch comes on a black handmade calf skin strap with contrasting red stitched accents and with a titanium double deployant clasp. Maybe another cool thing for the highest bidder. You will be invited for the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix in May 2024. This includes accommodation, transfers, VIP access to the TAG Heuer hospitality and more. And hopefully you will be able to see Max Verstappen with another new TAG Heuer around his wrist.
