The Breguet Marine Hora Mundi Only Watch 2023 is a one-of-a-kind version for this year’s Only Watch auction to support this good cause. The Marine Hora Mundi was first introduced in 2022 and it is considered to be the only time piece that offers the change of time zone at a single click.
The watch is housed in a rose gold case of 43.9 millimeters and has a spectacular dial with the terrestrial planisphere. It has a base made of gold, with a waved hand-guilloché pattern and a sunburst blue background. On top is a sapphire plate with gold hour markers along with engraved navy blue continents and finally there is an external flange which holds the various elements present on the dial. It all creates an almost mesmerizing 2D effect.

The most interesting part is the GMT function, or the second time zone. Operate the crown to select the city of the time zone you want to see. By the way, where it normally shows “Paris” for the Central European Time (CET), it shows “Monaco” on this time piece. it is the same time zone, now with a subtle reference to the city where Only Watch is located. If you have selected a city of the time zone you want, just use the pusher at the 8 o‘clock position and the hands automatically jump to the ‘new’ time. Push it again and it will jump back to your local time.
It does not only switch the time but also adjust the retrograde date (at 12) and the day/night indication at 3. Cams, hammers and the integrated differential make this great mechanism work.
At the back of the Breguet Marine Hora Mundi Only Watch 2023 you can admire the automatic Breguet caliber 77F1. Assumably it is an updated version of the caliber 77F0, beating at 28,800 vph, adorned with a Côtes de Genève motif as well as guilloché and snailed finishing. It has a power reserve of 55 hours.
