With the Angelus Chronodate Gold x Château Angelus for Only Watch 2023 it is the first time the brand participates with Only Watch. It is a timepiece that symbolizes the collaboration between the watch brand Angelus and the wine producer Chateau Angelus. They produce one of the greatest wines from the Bordeaux in France, according to themselves.
To underline this rather unique combination of watches and wine, the dial is made from… wine. From Saint-Emilion estate, 2022 vintage. It is made from freeze-dried wine lees, then converted to powder and then applied to the dial with a special process for a unique texture and color. Maybe it even smells like a Bordeaux… On the dial there is also an 18K red gold applique bearing a faithful engraving of the Château’s bell. The watch is housed in a 42.50-millimeter case with a mix of red gold and carbon parts.

At the heart of the watch is an automatic A-500 in-house caliber featuring a column-wheel chronograph movement with small seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock. This caliber is housed in a container made of carbon composite. The date is displayed by a hand, rotating around the dial, which is inspired by the first Angelus Chronodate model from 1942.
The Angelus Chronodate Gold x Chateau Angelus for Only Watch 2023 comes on a black alligator skin strap that has been applied with burgundy alligator skin lining and a folding clasp from 18K red gold. And you will also get two additional straps: one in burgundy leather and one in black rubber. And what about this? The buyer of the watch will also get three bottles of the “Grand Vin Blanc” by the Château, never released for sale and only gifted on rare occasions. And above all you will get an invitation by the owners of the Château in Saint-Emilion, for a discovery of this family-owned estate.
