Looking for a watch with bright, loud colors, take a look at the Maurice Lacroix Aikon Master Grand Date Technicolour. According to ML it is inspired by the brand’s Calypso model of the 1990s. Which might be a bit farsighted as only the six double accents on the case look like the Calypso. Nevertheless, with those accents the watch is immediately recognizable as a Maurice Lacroix model.

This new Technicolor comes in four colors: blue, green, yellow and orange, all with a black main dial and black DLC coated steel case. Which measures 45 millimeter. Hours and minutes are on a colored sub dial. Just under that off-center dial is the small seconds sub dial which is open-worked. Teh seconds track is in the theme color of the watch, and so is the seconds hand.

The lower left part of the dial is also open-worked to show the balance wheel. And of course, the big date appertures on the left of the dial are eye-catching. Like most big dates it had two date discs on the movement, together forming the right date. The digits of the date are also in the theme color of the watch. The movement of the Maurice Lacroix Aikon Master Grand Date Technicolour is the in-house caliber ML331 with a power reserve of 50 hours.

Each watch is limited to 50 pieces, and comes with two rubber straps. One that matches the color on its dial and one in black complementing the case.
