Alpina unveils two new models of the Alpina Alpiner Extreme Regulator Automatic collection. No shocking news, but just two new dial colors with matching straps. Still, it is interesting enough to land on this website as these are regulators. Which always remains a little bit special.

A regulator has separated hours, minutes and seconds hands which means they are not connected centrally like on most watches. So each hand is fixed to its own rotating point. With the Alpina Alpiner Extreme Regulator Automatic the hours are located on a sub-dial at 10 o’clock while the minutes are indicated by the large central hand. And this regulator has seconds on a sub-dial at the 6 o’clock position. It’s another way of showing the time, and especially in the beginning it takes some time to get used to it.

The Alpina Alpiner Extreme Regulator Automatic comes on a bracelet or rubber strap

Both models are housed in a 41 x 42.5-millimeter stainless steel cushion shaped case. One Alpina Alpiner Extreme Regulator Automatic has a full black dial color with black sub-dials that look sun brushed. This model comes on a matching black rubber strap The other model has a blue main dial with grey sub dials and comes on a steel bracelet.

The Alpina Alpiner Extreme Regulator Automatic is driven by an automatic AL-650 caliber that beats at a frequency of 28,800 per hour and has a power reserve of 38 hours. The case has a 200-meter water resistance. Both editions are ‘limited’ to 888 pieces.
