This new IWC Ingenieur Chronograph is based on the three limited editions that IWC introduced in 2016 called Ingenieur Vintage. This new model has the same size, the same case and the same movement yet with other dials and different bracelets. The model is part of the new Ingenieur collection which comes with four new models:

The IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 mm;
This IWC Ingenieur Chronograph;
The IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Sport;
And the IWC Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month.

All design of these models is inspired by a 1955 IWC Ingenieur (reference 666) which is a three-hand dress watch. Except for the thickness of the bezel this IWC Ingenieur Chronograph doesn’t share much of the looks of the old model. But is has IWC’s genes all over.

The IWC Ingenieur Chronograph comes in three versions

Unlike the IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Sport this Ingenieur isn’t a limited edition and it comes in three versions. A stainless steel version with silver-plated dial and gold-plated hands and indexes on a steel bracelet. Then there is a stainless steel version with blue dial, also on a steel bracelet. The third model is and 18k red gold model with slate-gray dials, gold-plated hands and 18k red gold indexes on a black leather strap. The size of 42 millimeters is subtle.

The IWC Ingenieur Chronograph features IWC’s caliber 69375 with 46 hours of power-reserve, date and chronograph.
