Conventional? Not really, but that’s not why people choose to buy a Hublot of course. Hublot is always pushing the boundaries in terms of materials, also with this new Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Berluti.

This time it is no high-tech collaboration with Ferrari, nor with an artist and concrete. This time there are new limited editions in cooperation with the legendary French shoemaker Berluti. Their partnership starter earlier in 2016 with the release of two models.

Of course, Berluti provides the patented brown or black Venezia leather with Scritto décor for the straps. But it goes even further. In the either black ceramic or gold case you find a leather dial. Also in Berluti’s trademark Scritto design.

Hublot designed the watch together with Olga Berluti, a direct descendant of founder Alessandro Berluti. She developed a special tanning technique so the leather could be fitted into a delicate and complicated watch design. For example, to give the leather dial a long life and not prone to wear, they had to extract all moisture from the leather before it could be enclosed within the sapphire crystal.

The Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Berluti in black ceramic and 18-carat King Gold is limited to 250 pieces each. Every watch is delivered in a bespoke Berluti box containing a complete Berluti care set. If you want, there is also a model with platinum case (and brown dial) or black ceramic case with blue dial.
