To mark its 55^th anniversary, Seiko unveils the revived Seiko 5 Sports 55th Anniversary Limited Edition. It was originally introduced in 1968 and this new version pays a homage to this first Seiko 5 Sports watch. The design is of the new version is close to the 1968 Seiko 5 Sports with reference 6106-8120. So, it blends vintage and modern, and it is limited to 15,555 pieces. Which most people don’t call limited at all. But that doesn’t matter as this new 5 Sports looks good, and moreover, it’s very affordable.

It is dressed in a 39.5-millimeter stainless steel case with a rotating bezel, so you can time your diving, if you don’t go too deep. As it can withstand water pressure up to 10 bar, for which the crown near 4 o’clock is hidden, and the steel case back is screwed. It has a clear black dial, with lumibrite hour and minute hands and markers, and shows a day/date display at 3 o’clock.
