RD’s love for fast Italian cars named Lamborghini shows again with this Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Monobalancier Huracan Sterrato. The Huracán Sterrato is a sort of wild version of the standard Huracán supercar, and its design suggest it is an off-roader.

It will probably get stuck in the mud at some point but nevertheless this 400k costing 610 hp V10 was sold out in a second. And it inspired Roger Dubuis to create a time-telling wearable version of it. Kind of.

Same sharpness as the Lamborghini Huracán Sterrato

The first impression is that the watch looks as extreme as a Lambo. It’s big with 45 millimeters and the materials are supercar-like such as carbon and titanium. The case, but also the skeletonized dial, has sharp lines and hexagonal shapes just like the Huracán.

You have to look for the hands a little while as they blend with the mechanics behind it, but it is a pleasure to admire the timepiece anyway. At the 6 o’clock position you can find a small date aperture.

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Monobalancier Huracan Sterrato has a power reserve of 60 hours

The engine of this Sterrato model is the automatic Roger Dubuis caliber RD630 with a power reserve of 60 hours. Thanks to two barrels and the whole mechanic construction that sports a tilted balance wheel and a rotor that looks like the rim of a supercar. The movement has a shot-blasted main plate, and shot-blasted, trued-up bridges. All NAC coated and viewable through the sapphire case back.

The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Monobalancier Huracan Sterrato comes on a blue rubber strap with additional blue camo rubber strap. Easy to change thanks to a quick release system. The triple folding clasp is executed in black DLC titanium cover with titanium blades.
