The Hamilton Ventura XXL Bright Dune is the result of a collaboration with Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures. This collab offers to watches, and this is one of them. The other one is the Hamilton Ventura Edge Dune. Both watches are inspired by the wrist device made by the brand for the film “Dune: Part Two”.

Dune movies are, to keep it short, science fiction, with planets, fights, lots of monsters and sand, and based on a novel from 1965. Which was written by the American science-fiction author Frank Herbert. For sure, timepieces in a movie like that should be futuristic and bold, which is why Hamilton designed a special piece for the movie called the Desert Watch. And two 21^st century models for us normal people on planet Earth.

The Hamilton Ventura XXL Bright Dune is powered by a quartz movement

The triangle case is big, 52 x 47.6 millimeters, and comes in stainless steel with a black PVD coating. The dial itself is black, and lights up in blue when activated through the crown’s push-button. This blue luminous effect echoes the blue eyes of the Fremen people. A group of people from the movie who live in the desert of the planet Arrakis, also called Dune. The time is shown in a less futuristic way: by hands.

Inside is an unknown quartz movement showing hours, minutes and seconds by hands. So, energy consumption will be very low as long as you don’t use the light function too much.

The Hamilton Ventura XXL Bright Dune comes on a black rubber strap with a pin buckle. And to make it more special it is limited to 3,000 pieces.
