The Nomos Tetra Neomatik Nachtblau is one of four new models with blue dials launched by Nomos. The other three are the Metro Neomatik Nachtblau, the Minimatik Nachtblau and the Tangente Neomatik Nachtblau. All these are round-cased, and just launched, but this Tetra is square-cased. And the Tetra was already launched in August. Yet, it’s the most beautiful of all four. We think.
This Nomos Tetra Neomatik Nachtblau looks very simple – in a positive way – with its classy new dial color
Tetra is Greek for ‘four’, so that’s why the Tetra has four corners, so it is square-cased. The Tetra isn’t a new model; it was launched at the beginning of this year in this size. The size was 27 millimeters or 29.5 millimeters, a size for women. Now it has grown to 33 millimeters which makes it suitable for men as well. So this new model only has another dial color.
Inside is Nomos in-house developed caliber DUW 3001. DUW stands for Deutsche Uhrenwerke by the way. It is ultra-thin (only 3.2 millimeters high) and features Nomos’s swing system with a tempered blue balance spring. Which is visible through a sapphire case back (on all models). It has the traditional Glashütte three-quarter main plate and offers a fully wound power reserve of 42 hours.
