The Meistersinger Edition Passage shows the hours, minutes and seconds, just like most watches, however with only one hand. Single-handed watches are part of the German brand’s signature design, and although it looks a little complicated to read the time it is quite easy. But you have to get used to it.

The large blue hand indicates the hours and minutes which are readable from the black hour track. This track is divided into 5-minute zones. The biggest bar shows the actual hours, the second biggest bar the half hours. Then the second smallest bars indicate the quarters and the smallest bars one-third of a quarter, which is 5 minutes. So far, so good.

Elapsed minutes and seconds on the dial

Apart from the hour and minute track in black, there is also an elapsed minutes track, in red. It is a nice reminder that at 9 o’clock 540 minutes have passed since it was 12. Now you will also get the blue elapsed seconds track indicating that 32,400 seconds have passed when it’s 9 o’clock.

Of course it is kind of easy to tell the elapsed minutes when it’s 9:30. But your mathematic skills demand a bit more overthinking to tell the elapsed seconds at that time. It’s a good reminder that there are 3,600 seconds in one hour…

The Meistersinger Edition Passage has a power reserve of 38 hours

The one-handed Edition Passage runs on a modified Sellita caliber SW200-1 with a power reserve of 38 hours. It is housed in a 43-millimeter stainless steel case and it can be admired through the mineral case back.

For the strap you have a choice of four. There is a cowhide leather strap with croco print in cognac or a brown vintage saddle leather strap. But you can also go for a 5-link stainless steel bracelet or a Milanese bracelet.
