The Meistersinger Astroscope Black-Yellow is another variation of the Astroscope, the model that shows date and day in a rather unusual way. This new version only differs very, very few from the three existing ones: just the colors of numerals and markers on a black dial have changed to yellow.

Meistersinger is a stranger in the world of watches as it shows the time with just one hand. It’s easy, you only have to get used to it. But for the Astroscope they also have a day complication with seven heavenly bodies, each representing a day. At the position of the present day a yellow dot will show up to make you read the day in words – shortened – and read it in a ancient character.

The Meistersinger Astroscope Black-Yellow is limited to 200 pieces

This system of seven days actually comes most likely from the Babylonians, who considered the number seven as holy. That was somehow connected to seven days of a week corresponding with seven heavenly bodies. They even had special characters for it and those are depicted on the dial as follows:

Wednesday: Mercury ☿

Thursday: Jupiter ♃

Friday: Venus ♀

Saturday: Saturn ♄

The Meistersinger Astroscope Black-Yellow is executed in stainless steel with a 40-millimeter case and the Sellita SW 220 is powering it. It runs for 38 hours when fully wound. This black-yellow is limited to 200 pieces and comes with a bright yellow vintage leather strap. Other straps are an option.
