Just an hour hand and that’s it. That still is the look that made MeisterSinger famous. The German brand made the single-hand watch his own, although not every model is single-handed. But this MeisterSinger Circularis Power Reserve is.

The new Circularis Power Reserve should prove more than adequate. This watch is an expansion of MeisterSinger’s premium Circularis line. It features the brand’s hand-wound MSH02 movement and has an impressive power-reserve of 120 hours. So even after a watch-free weekend, the watch still has enough juice to run with precision. The MSH02 is based on the MSH01 caliber, by the way.

This MeisterSinger Circularis Power Reserve comes in five variations. There is a stainless steel case with an opaline-silver, black, ivory or sunburst steel grey dial. If you like a touch of gold go for the steel case with gold bezel and the sunburst steel grey dial.

The movement of the MeisterSinger Circularis Power Reserve features two barrels

The stainless steel case of the MeisterSinger Circularis Power Reserve is 43 millimeters in diameter and waterproof up to 50 meters. The workings of the elaborately finished hand-wound MSH02 movement are visible through the sapphire case back, securely fastened with four screws.

Besides the hour hand and date window, the power-reserve indicator is worth a second look. Extensive changes to the movement were required in order to implement the unusual design of the power-reserve display. The first mainspring barrel is wound via its drum, the drum of the second barrel provides power to the movement. A differential determines and shows the difference in the rotations.

The result is an indication that meets the aesthetic and functional standards that is suited for a MeisterSinger. Another perfect example of a watch brand that likes to make it as ‘difficult’ as possible on those couple of square centimeters.
