Price: $ 2,195 | € 1.995 | approx. £ 1,515
Size: 42 mm
In 1968 Hamilton launched the Chronograph B with reverse panda dial and this Hamilton Intra-Matic 68 is inspired by that model. It is a limited edition of 1968 pieces and of course it sports a reverse panda dial as well.
These bi-register chronograph type of watches were very popular in the 1960s and 1970s. Today this new Hamilton Intra-Matic 68 has a modernized monochrome design with a bigger case: 42 millimeters. On some photos, it seems the white colors are not exactly white; the tachymeter scale and subdials look more off-white which strengthens the retro design.
The Hamilton Intra-Matic 68 has a clear 1960s design
The Hamilton Intra-Matic 68 features the ETA/Valjoux 7750 base Hamilton H-31 movement beating at 28,800 vph. There is 30-minute counter at the 3 o’clock position and the small seconds are at the 9 o’clock position. The date window is at 6 o’clock. The automatic movement offers a power-reserve of 60 hours.
The best part of the watch is the price: around a friendly 2,000 US dollars or euro’s.
