The Mille Miglia is without a doubt one of the worlds most legendary and prestigious car rally’s. Chopard supports the rally since 1988 and the newest watch collaboration resulted in the Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph 2017.
By the way, the real ‘hardcore’ Mille Miglia ran from 1927 up until 1957 but ended because of the many deaths and accidents resulted from the road rally. Following this there were a couple of reiterations, but the Mille Miglia as we know today started in 1982. This rally is only for cars that were made between 1927 and 1957. From 1988 Chopard entered as a sponsor and is now an unmistakable part of the Mille Miglia.

The Chopard Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph 2017 comes in four versions
The latest model is vintage with his and hers versions. For men, there is a 42-millimeter stainless steel chronograph with black rubber strap. It comes with a silver or black dial. For women there is a smaller, 39-millimeter version in stainless steel with a silver dial or one with a mother-of-pearl dial and gemset bezel.
The classic look is enhanced by two traditional pushers and a fluted crown echoing those of vintage chronographs. The dials ensure good readability thanks to wide Arabic numerals that are luminescent in the dark, as are the hands.
Maybe wearing a Mille Miglia watch when you have never participated in the race is a bit dull. Like having a Ferrari key-ring without a Ferrari. But not everybody owns an original classic race car.
