At Cartier they could no longer resist the carbon/black watch trend that’s been circling the scene for a while now. Together with the iconic Santos 100 Cartier’s Ballon Bleu now comes in pitch black. The watch features an ADLC (Amorphous Diamond Like Carbon) case which measures a 42.1 millimetres. The coal black dial has clear, contrasting white Roman numerals. A radiating guilloché pattern enhances the dial as well as the sword-shaped luminous-coated hands.

Black or not, the Cartier Ballon Bleu Carbon features the authentic and distinct fluted winding crown with Cartier’s trademark: the blue cabochon-shaped spinel. The watch is powered by the automatic 1847 MC Manufacture movement. The black calfskin strap fastens with a ADLC-coated, double-adjustable folding buckle and integrates beautifully into the case lugs.
