The new Alpina Alpiner 4 Automatic is one of the two latest models that Alpina adds to its collection of sports watches. It also features Alpina’s concept of “4”.

With the presentation of the first Alpina 4 in 1938 the brand claims to be the creator of the very first Swiss sports watch. With this watch Alpina developed the so called concept of “4”. This means they put the four essential features, according to Alpina, of every sports watch in one time piece. Those features are: anti-magnetic, anti-shock, water-resistant and stainless.

Alpina actually is Frédérique Constant’s sister brand. It was acquired by FC to be able to offer a sportier range with the design and quality of the Frédérique Constant brand. Two years ago Alpina revived their “4” concept with the Alpiner collection. Now it’s revamping their sports watches collection with to models. The Alpiner 4 Automatic features the same AL-525 automatic movement as the Alpiner collection from 2014 and has a 60-minutes turning bezel. You can take your pick from three different dial colours: glacier blue, black and silvered. Nice to know: the date disc is the same colour as the dial – a minor detail to some, but a world of difference to others. The Alpina Alpiner 4 Automatic comes with a leather strap with red stitching.
