The new Strom Ventus I GMT – 4 Nations series is a collection that celebrates motorsport heritage inspired by the classic racing colors. These historic racing legacies include the Silver Arrow (Silberpfeil), Rosso Corsa (Racing Red), Blue de France (French Racing Blue) and British Racing Green (BRG). Indeed, four nations.
The Silver Arrow represents the famous silver racing cars of the 1930’s, which were mainly German brands like Mercedes and Auto Union. The Rosso Corsa (Racing Red) connects to the vibrant red hue seen on Italian cars since the 1920’s. Blue de France (French Racing Blue) is the racing color for French cars and British Racing Green (BRG) of course for British racers.
The Strom Ventus I GMT – 4 Nations measures 57 millimeters from crown to crown
The Strom Ventus I GMT – 4 Nations has a 45.5-millimeter case made out of solid sterling silver 925. It looks massive – it is massive as it measures 57 millimeters from crown to crown. The GMT function works with an internal rotating bezel which can be adjusted by the crown on the left. Which looks like the centre lock of sports cars (the Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing for instance), a nice detail.
Inside is a “Swiss automatic winding movement” not further specified by the brand. But we assume it is an ETA 2824-2 without date as this one was previously used by Strom for the former Ventus series. Each model is limited to 25 pieces.
