After the collaboration between Roger Dubuis and Pirelli the Swiss watch manufacturer now teams up with the Italian car manufacturer Italdesign. This Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Single Tourbillon Italdesign is the result of that partnership.
The motive for the collaboration is the launch of a new supercar by Italdesign. It has no name (yet) and as Italdesign is owned by the Volkswagen Group (90,1 percent stake) everyone expects the Audi R8 V10 engine will drive the machine. Top speed: 205 mph or 330 km/h.
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Single Tourbillon Italdesign is limited to eight pieces
The Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Single Tourbillon Italdesign has no V10 but Roger Dubuis’ caliber RD505SQ. A caliber that can also be found in other Dubuis’ models like the Roger Dubuis Excalibur Spider Skeleton Flying Tourbillon Americas Edition. It features a power-reserve of 60 hours.
The similarities between the watch and the supercar? Both have a carbon body and both feature the colors of the Italian flag. And both are a limited edition: eight pieces for the watch, five for the car.
