In collaboration with the King of the Court (KOTC), Maurice Lacroix unveils the Maurice Lacroix Aikon #tide KOTC. As the brand is the Official timekeeper of this beach volleyball event since 2021. And again, this year. The watch is made of recycled plastics and it takes 17 plastic bottles to make one Aikon #tide. Where #tide is the organization that supplies those plastics.
The Aikon #tide collection, using recycled plastics, was originally launched in 2021, and offers the possibility to create different colors and styles. This new Aikon #tide has a black case, with a black bezel, and features a black dial with the KOTC crown-themed symbol in gold. The hour and minute hands, as well as the hour markers, are filled with white super-luminova. And there is also a date-window visible at 3 o’clock.

The Maurice Lacroix Aikon #tide KOTC runs with a quartz movement. ML doesn’t specify which one. The watch comes on a black rubber strap, featuring the Maurice Lacroix ‘m’ logo in a gold tone. It is secured with a pin buckle made of 100% #tide ocean-bound upcycled plastic with an easy change system.
The price is not fully in line with the offer when looking at the specs. However the use of plastics from #tide is always something to encourage, even when it will cost you a little bit more. Plus, you will get a 5 years warranty.
