The Hublot Classic Fusion Black Magic Dubai Watch Week is a collaboration with an artist and a jeweler presenting a model for the Dubai Watch Week 2023. Together with calligraphy artist Wissam Shawkat and jeweler Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons two versions this Classic Fusion are available. Both timepieces are crafted drawing inspiration from a profound appreciation for Arabian heritage and culture. Both models are limited to 50 pieces.
The calligraphy on the dial portrays shades that complement the all-black ceramic timepieces. Wissam Shawkat is a recognized calligraphy maestro and designer, excelling in the realm of letter forms. His journey with Arabic calligraphy commenced when he was 10. In recent years, Shawkat has become known for a new calligraphic style, Al Wissam, which references several traditional scripts bringing them together with modern design. Shawkat has been honored with multiple awards for his mastery in calligraphy. And he has actively contributed as both an artist and committee member in numerous editions of both local and international Calligraphy Exhibitions.
The Hublot Classic Fusion Black Magic Dubai Watch Week has a power reserve of 42 hours
Just like the other classic Fusion watches, the bezel of both models is adorned with six H-shaped screws. The 42-millimeter version has a plane bezel. On the 38-millimeter variant, it is further embellished with 36 black brilliant-cut diamonds. The black ceramic case and the matt black dial forms the perfect background for the colorful decals.
The Hublot Classic Fusion Black Magic Dubai Watch Week time pieces are powered by the automatic Hublot caliber HUB1110. It has a power reserve of 42 hours. Both models come on a black alligator strap secured with a black steel deployant buckle.
