The Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Day-Date 42 mm is the latest addition to the Khaki Aviation Pilot collection. It comes in three versions with a diameter of 42 millimeters, however the model is also available in 36 millimeters. The model honors the brand’s legacy of over 100 years in crafting advanced timepieces inspired by aviation.
It all starts in 1918 when Hamilton watches were chosen to time the first U.S. Airmail flight between New York and Washington D.C. Now, the new 42-millimeter model offers three choices, featuring a blue, silver, or green dial.
A pilot with clear readability
The Khaki Aviation Pilot watches, designed for everyday use, are crafted in stainless steel and feature a day-date indicator at 3 o’clock. Its dial in blue, silver or green shows large nickeled sword-shaped hour and minute hands filled with super-luminova. The large numerals are ranging from 05 to 55 to indicate the minutes. The smaller numerals from 1 to 12 obviously represent the hours.
Additionally, the triangular and elongated rectangular shapes positioned at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock also exhibit a super-luminova effect. With crown guards ensuring the protection of the crown, the watch boasts an impressive water resistance of 100 meters / 330 feet.
The Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot has a power reserve of 80 hours
The models have an automatic Hamilton caliber H-30, which is based on an ETA caliber C07.621. It is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring for better resistance to magnetic fields, temperature variation and shocks. It delivers a power reserve of 80 hours.
The Hamilton Khaki Aviation Pilot Day-Date 42 mm comes either on a steel bracelet or on a matching leather strap.
