The Bulova Lunar Pilot Meteorite makes a comeback. This timepiece commemorates the brand’s historic moment when a Bulova Chronograph went to the moon on August 2, 1971, during the Apollo mission. You can observe this significant event at the back of the case, which is adorned with an engraved astronaut. And of course the date of the Apollo mission with that Bulova chronograph.

The new model features a distinctive grey meteorite dial and is limited to 5,000 pieces. The case is made from stainless steel and titanium measuring 43.50 millimeters. The dial comes from a 4.5-billion year old iron meteorite which was discovered in Northern Scandinavia in 1906. The meteorite’s unique crystalline pattern makes that each dial is a one-of-a-kind.

The Bulova Lunar Pilot Meteorite is powered by a quartz movement

Similar to the original Bulova Chronograph Model #88510/01, the watch includes a black tachymeter ring adorned with the retro Bulova logo. The chronograph counters and small seconds are located at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock.

Inside is a high-precision quartz movement with Citizen/Miyota roots and an accuracy of a few seconds per year. The Lunar Pilot Meteorite comes on a NATO black leather strap.
