Breitling reveals a whole new Avenger series, and this Breitling Avenger Automatic 42 is one of them. It is a time-date version that comes in three different colors and two different straps per color. Black, blue or green for the dial and either a leather strap or a stainless steel bracelet. The stainless steel version is on average a plus 500.

The Avenger collection was first launched in 2001, and inspired by military aviation. So, bold and bright for good readability in a split second. Of course, a unidirectional bezel for making the right calculation when flying, robust with crown protection and precise. Therefor it is also COSC certified.

The Breitling Avenger Automatic 42 has a power reserve of 38 hours

This new Breitling Avenger Automatic 42 measures 42 millimeters, with a thickness of 12.15 millimeters. The case, bezel and case back are stainless and the indexes and hands are filled with super-luminova. The crown is screwed-locked and has two gaskets and the watch has a screwed steel case back. So it can withstand 30 bars of pressure.

Inside the Breitling Avenger Automatic 42 is an automatic Breitling caliber 17. It is also known as the B17, and it is based on an ETA 2824-2. It has a 38-hour power reserve and winds bidirectional with ball bearing for more reliability. Within the Avenger series there is also an Automatic GMT 44, a B01 Chronograph 44 and a B01 Chronograph 44 Night Mission.
