In 2016 Armin Strom launches the Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Fire. Where Fire is Armin Strom speak for rose gold. The new model is called Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Water, which means it comes in stainless steel.

The basics of the new Water model are exactly the same as the Fire. The case has the same size and shape, now in steel as mentioned. Furthermore, the hands and the buckle are from stainless steel instead of rose gold and the two straps are blue. The Fire has a grey open-worked dial with a black register for the time. The Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Water has the same grey open-worked dial but with a white register for the time. Which changes the looks from a firm dress watch to a firm more sporty watch.

The Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Water uses a discovery of the late 1600s

The movement aims for ultimate precision with a high-tech mechanical solution. A time piece achieves more accuracy by using two oscillators. A phenomenon of physics known as resonance causes two near oscillating bodies to influence each other ending into synchronization. This was first discovered by the Dutch clockmaker Christiaan Huygens in the late 1600s. Armin Strom uses this phenomenon to sync the twin balance wheels of the oscillators, which takes about 10 minutes after winding. This leads to a stabilizing effect on timekeeping. And it saves energy and reduces negative effects due to outside perturbation. It also provides a fascinating animation, showing the revolutions in opposite directions. Just take a look at the video of the Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Fire.

The Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Water is limited to 50 pieces, just like the Fire model. If you are interested in more watches within this price range, click here.
