With the Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Fire the Swiss brand perfectionates timing. It’s all about precision and accuracy. What did they come up with?

We quote: “Two oscillating bodies in close proximity influence each other and eventually synchronize; this is a phenomenon of physics known as resonance.” For that reason, Armin Strom introduces Mirrored Force Resonance, a resonating dual regulator developed for maximum precision. And this can be seen on full display on the dial side of the timepiece.

What Armin Strom has created is a perfectionated solution to deal with two oscillators (such as two balance wheels or two pendulums) getting out of sync. Well, then don’t use two oscillators, and there is no problem, you could say? Correct. But using two oscillators creates so much more precision that Armin Strom took the technical challenge. Resulting in this high-quality timepiece. One of the few in the world using mirrored force resonance, a technique that goes back to the 17th century. The Dutch clockmaker Christiaan Huygens is credited as the one who observed the effect of resonance on regulation systems for the first time.

The Armin Strom caliber ARF15 front and back

Inside the 43.4-millimeters case, which we know from the Armin Strom Tourbillon Skeleton Fire, is Strom’s new caliber ARF15. With resonance clutch spring, twin display of seconds and off-center time indications. The pusher at 2 o‘clock is to instantaneous zero-reset the two subsidiary seconds hands.

The Armin Strom Mirrored Force Resonance Fire is limited to 50 pieces. Below the specs a video to see how the watch works.
