Armin Strom founded his eponymous brand in 1967 and retired in 2011 after selling the company to the family Michel. Owner Serge Michel and chief horologist Claude Greisler have the capacity to increase the brand through the creation of an independent factory in Biel / Bienne. This was opened in 2009 for the development and manufacture of timepieces. The company introduced its first hand-winding tourbillon in 2012, and a micro-rotor tourbillon in 2013.
