Alpina unveils some new Alpiner Extreme Automatic models to commemorate their 140^th anniversary, like this Alpina Alpiner Extreme Automatic on a steel bracelet. So it all started in 1883. Sort of.

In 1883 Alpina’s founder Gotlieb Hauser starts the ‘cooperation of the Swiss watchmakers’ to unite Swiss watchmakers. Only in 1901 he starts his own watchmaking company and registers Alpina as a trademark. So actually, the brand started in 1901.

The new Alpina Alpiner Extreme Automatic models look very robust

Anyway, new Alpiner Extreme Automatic models with cushion-shaped case were launched in 2022. And now the line-up is extended with two models. This Extreme Automatic is one of them, and it comes with a stainless steel bracelet that is integrated in the case. And it comes in two colors: blue or grey.

Inside is the Alpina AL-525 caliber which is based on the Sellita SW200-1. An automatic movement with a 38-hour power reserve, feeding hours, minutes, seconds, and date. The watch looks robust, and ready to climb the Alps. Which are depicted on the dial as triangles, a nice touch to stay in line with the brand’s history.
