The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Time Zone Honey Gold celebrates the 22nd anniversary of A. Lange & Söhne’s revival. Because only in 1994 (on the 24th of October) A. Lange & Söhne was resurrected. At Dresden Castle, Walter Lange and Günter Blümein presented the first modern collections of A. Lange & Söhne. The models: the Lange 1, the Saxonia, the Arkade and the Tourbillon Pour le Merite. That moment deserves a limited edition. This Lange 1 Time Zone Honey Gold. Exactly 100 pieces.
The Lange 1 Time Zone was introduced in 2005. This version differs just a little from that collection. In the regular Lange 1 Time Zone timepieces the Central European Time is represented by Berlin. With this limited edition, it is Dresden.
The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Time Zone Honey Gold is only for sale in Lange’s boutiques
The case and hands and some details are made from honey gold, you already understood that. Honey gold is also 18K gold but it is harder than regular gold. Honey gold is about 300 Vickers in hardness, normal gold used for watches about 150 to 290. Besides that, it has a much softer hue. Compare it at the photo’s below. The dial is made of solid silver.
Inside the Honey Gold version is A. Lange’s caliber L031.1. The L031.1 has plates and bridges made from untreated German silver, and the balance cock and intermediate-wheel cock are both engraved by hand. Like all Lange calibers.
