Ulysse Nardin launches the Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military. It is more of a facelift than an all-new model, but still pretty nice. It is comparable with the Marine Torpilleur, hence the addition of the word ‘Military’. An overall more rugged and imposing look than the regular Marine Torpilleur with a slightly larger diameter. It is 44 millimeters instead of 42 millimeters and has some design twists.

Take for example the Arabic numerals instead of the more classical Roman numerals. This model comes in either an eggshell colored version or one with a black dial. The case is sandblasted stainless steel with a matte grained finish that suits the piece very well.

In addition there is also the serial number in red and the abbreviation C.W. which stands for ‘chronometer watch’. Both on the dial. A bit too on the nose for our tastes. A discrete engraving on the back would have been enough.

Inside the is the Ulysse Nardin UN-118 manufacture movement with a silicon anchor escapement and of course a COSC certification.  On the case back there is an engraving of a torpilleur, a small torpedo boat after which the watch is named. The Ulysse Nardin Marine Torpilleur Military with the eggshell or black dial are both limited to 300 pieces.
