The Marine Chronometer 1846 pays tribute to Ulysse Nardin’s history. Ever since 1846 captains and naval commanders refer to Ulysse Nardin for marine chronometers. The new watch is inspired by the 1996 timepiece, introduced in honor of the 150^th anniversary of the brand.

The 2017 Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer 1846 updates the classic wristwatch with a Grand Feu enamel dial and silicium technology. Like its predecessor, its vintage design in a slightly larger 41-millimeter case, bears the classic traits of the Marine collection. Roman numerals, a fluted bezel and a water-resistance of 100 meters.

The Ulysse Nardin Marine Chronometer 1846 has COSC certification

The self-winding UN-118 Chronometer movement (COSC certified) is entirely designed and produced in-house by the Swiss watchmaker in Le Locle. It offers a 60-hour power reserve, and a forward and backward quick-set date.

If you look closely at the dial, it has all the elements of a marine chronometer. From the notched bezel and sub-seconds right up until the oversized Roman numerals.
