The Tissot PR516 Chronograph Mechanical is new addition to the PR516 Chronograph collection. This model offers a reinterpretation of the original Tissot PR516, which was initially introduced in the 1970s. The collection comprises four variants, featuring a mechanical chronograph and three quartz watches. Let’s look at the first.

The vintage design is crafted in a 41-millimeter stainless steel case, with a black dial adorned with three sub counters. The bezel has a tachymeter scale and pulsometer scale. This offers the capability to measure speeds and heart rates, likely for adrenaline-filled activities. Furthermore, the watch ensures optimal visibility with luminescent hands and indices.

The Tissot PR516 Chronograph Mechanical has a power reserve of 60 hours

The new chronograph is powered by the automatic Tissot caliber Valjoux A05.291 which is an enhanced Valjoux/ETA caliber 7753. One of the more popular chronographs on the market. It is visible through the transparent case back and offers a power reserve of 60 hours.

The Tissot PR516 Chronograph Mechanical comes on a stainless steel bracelet secured with a folding clasp with safety and pushbuttons. And it is equipped with an interchangeable quick release System for an easy swap of the straps. The quartz versions, with a G10.212 Powerdrive movement, are almost a quarter of the price of this mechanical piece.
