The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Glassbox Green marks the introduction of a set of new TAGs that come in green. Teal green to be precise. When launched in 1963, the Carrera series did not incorporate a date function. However, three years later, a date function was added at 12 o’clock. This marks the birth of the so called Dato design. Now, the newest Carrera is equipped with a date complication at 9 o’clock. Which is a modern interpretation of the classic Dato look.
The new model is executed in a 39-millimeter stainless steel case. The monochromatic circular brushed green dial only shows a 30-minutes chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, also in a teal green shade. It is then complimented with rhodium plated facetted and polished applied indexes. Added with super-luminova dots.
The hour and minute hands are also rhodium plated facetted and polished with white super-luminova. And the watch features a curved sapphire glassbox crystal in tribute to the domed hesalite crystal designs of the 1970s.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Glassbox Green has a power reserve of 80 hours
Visible through its sapphire case back is an automatic Tag Heuer caliber TH20-07. It is equipped with a shield-shaped rotor, TAG Heuer’s emblem. The power reserve is 80 hours.
To complete, it is fitted with a black alligator leather strap to add splash of refinement It is secured with a stainless-steel folding clasp with double safety push-buttons.
