The MB&F HM8 Mark 2 (Horological Machine 8) is a follow-up of the first HM8 the brand created for Only Watch and earlier released Can-Am models in white and red gold. This Mark 2 model comes in green, limited to 33 pieces, or white. And all models are inspired by cars, one of the passions of the founder of the brand, Maximillian Busser.

The case measures 47 x 41.5 millimeters and has a titanium structure with CarbonMacrolon, a composite material composed of a polymer matrix injected with carbon nanotubes This adds more strength and rigidity. Its shape comes from classic race cars, where the Porsche 918 Spyder plays a dominant role.

Furthermore there is a double bubble for the sapphire crystal that comes from the roof design of cars designed by Zagato – so one would easier fit in a car with a helmet on. The time is presented in a digital way, on the side, with sapphire disks filled with black metallization. If you wear it while driving, you don’t have to turn your wrist when holding the steering wheel in order to read the time. Smart.

Inside is a three-dimensional horological engine, composed of a jumping hour and trailing minutes module developed in-house by MB&F. It is powered by a Girard-Perregaux base movement delivering a power reserve of 42 hours.
