The Jaquet Droz Grande Seconde Dual Time is a powerful addition to the ‘basic’ Grande Seconde collection. It not only provides the time but also features the date and a dual time zone.
The Grande Seconde collection offers very elegant time pieces according to the same concept: a small sub dial with hours and minutes on the top of the dial and a large sub dial for the seconds at the bottom. There is even a pocket watch in the collection.

Since 2014 these models are powered by Jacquet Droz’ caliber 2663 which is the base caliber for this Dual Time version. Jacquet Droz added two complications: date and GMT. Both complications are integrated in the existing figure-eight-style layout of the dial in such a way that the overall elegance remains untouched. A delicate and successful job.
The Grande Seconde Dual Time has a 43-millimeters case in either stainless steel (two models) or red gold. The stainless steel versions either have a silver opaline dial (just cool) or a black onyx dial with white gold applied rings (very cool). The red gold version comes with an ivory Grand Feu enamel dial, the more classic one.
The crown has three positions to set the time, date and dual time zone. Easy, although the watch has no quick-correct function for the date. So keep it running in order to prevent a lot of turns of the crown to re-set it.
