The Glashütte Original PanoMaticInverse Limited Edition pays homage to the capital city of the German state the brand is located. That city is Dresden, the state is Saxony (or Sachsen in German). This city is known as the Florence on the Elbe. This because of its classic skyline, on a riverside, with some great landmarks, and mountains in the background.

The city was extremely damaged during the end of World War II as it was bombed several times by the Allies. Bombing raids destroyed the city center almost completely and restauration kind of went on until the 800th anniversary of the city in 2006. Current highlights. Amongst others, are the Frauenkirche, a Lutheran church, and the Academy of Fine Arts.

Highlights of Dresden on the dial and back side

Although Glashütte Original is located in the town of Glashütte, about a half an hour drive from Dresden, the brand “feels” connected with Dresden. Which is why they commemorate the city on the dial of the Glashütte Original PanoMaticInverse Limited Edition. Each of the 25 watches that are created, have a hand-engraved dial captured in a 42-millimeter platinum case.

On the front the roof of the Academy of Fine Arts is depicted, and its winged statue of Fama, next to top of the dome of the Lutheran church. Its form can also be seen on the back of the watch, just above the roto, together with the Elbe promenade. You can discover even more details when “looking around” like a hot air balloon, birds, clouds, and ornaments.

The Glashütte Original PanoMaticInverse Limited Edition has a power reserve of 45 hours

The automatic Glashütte caliber 91-03 shows the hours, minutes and has small seconds on a sub dial, all off-centered. At the 2 o‘clock position is a big date aperture – a so called panorama date. The frame components are rhodium plated and hand engraved, the balance bridge for instance has hand-engraved baroque ornaments. The balance wheel takes a prominent position, and the blued screws and purple jewels are all visible on the dial side and the sapphire back. The power reserve of the movement is 45 hours.

The Glashütte Original PanoMaticInverse Limited Edition comes on a blue Louisiana alligator leather strap. To be closed with the platinum folding clasp.
