This Blancpain Villeret Quantième Annuel GMT Steel enriches the Villeret collection with a metal version. Besides the annual calendar function, it also features a dual-time display.

The layout of the clear white dial is designed to offer instant legibility of the annual calendar indications. The separated day, date and month are easy to read and fill the right site of the dial. A greater part of the left site is for the dual-time function: the second time zone indication is on a 24-hour subdial at 8 o’clock. It provides a classic and balanced design.

The calendar of the Blancpain Villeret Quantième Annuel GMT Steel requires adjustment only once per year

Like all annual calendar movements, it requires only one adjustment per year. Between February and March the wearer has to compensate for the 28-day or 29-day length of February. In every other month the date moves automatically from the 30th or 31st to the first day of the following month.

Very interesting are the under-lug corrector buttons which have been patented by Blancpain. Hidden from view under the case’s lugs while the watch is worn, they allow the wearer to operate the calendar functions without using a stylus. The corrector at 1 o’clock adjusts the day of the week while the one at 5 o’clock adjusts the month. The second time zone and date, along with the hour and minute, can all be set by the crown.

The steel case measures 40 millimeters and is 11.04 millimeters thick. It houses Blancpain’s manufacture caliber 6054F, with automatic winding, which can be seen through the sapphire case back.
