Bell & Ross commemorates the Year of the Dragon with the Bell & Ross BR 05 Artline Dragon. At the 10^th of February the Chinese New Year starts, and this year it is the Year of the Wood Dragon. The Wood Dragon appears in the Chinese zodiac system based on a 60-year cycle that combines 12 animal signs with the elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water). Each animal sign is associated with one of the elements, and this combination repeats every 60 years. The previous year of the Wood Dragon was 1964. So, the next one will be in 2084. But let’s go to this watch.

In watchmaking, engraving is an artistic technique where designs, patterns, or inscriptions are incised onto various parts of a watch. This Artline Dragon pays a tribute to Chinese culture and the art of engraving. And it is clearly part of B & R’s BR 05 collection with its signature square bezel with rounded corners.

The Bell & Ross BR 05 Artline Dragon has a power reserve of 54 hours

It is crafted in a square steel case which is laser-engraved, satin-finished and polished. It measures 40 millimeters, with a thickness of 10.33 millimeters. The dial features an engraved pattern of a dragon’s image in the center, matching the case. The dragon image flows from the dial, over the bezel to the bracelet to form an all-engrave decorative motif.

Inside runs an automatic Bell & Ross caliber BR-CAL.321 which is somehow revealed through its skeletonized sapphire case back. It has a power reserve of 54 hours. The watch is limited to 99 pieces only.
