Armin Strom’s first model in the brand’s new Edge collection is now available in 18k rose gold. The model was introduced in march 2016 at the BaselWorld and in anticipation of the 2017 edition Armin Strom quickly gives the model a 18K rose gold upgrade. This is the Armin Strom Edge Double Barrel Rose Gold. It’s the shiny sister of the Armin Strom Max Chilton Edition Edge Double Barrel.
The watch, just like the earlier released Edge Double Barrel, is powered by a new manual movement created by Armin Strom. It houses in a rather large case of 46,8 millimeters. Through the sapphire glass of the case you can see the movement at the front and the back. The double going barrel in this movement offers an 8-day power-reserve and beats at 18,000 vibrations per hour.
The Armin Strom Edge Double Barrel Rose Gold is limited to 100 pieces
The black skeletonized dial creates a powerful contrast with the 18k rose gold case. The watch comes with a brown alligator strap and ardillon buckle in 18k rose gold, as well as an additional brown rubber strap. A double-fold clasp in 18k rose gold is available as an option. And this Edge Double Barrel in 18K Rose Gold is limited to 100 pieces.
Remarkable: the angular and polygon shaped components of the ARM16 caliber. This has everything to do with the ambassador of the collection “Mr. Edge”. A transformer-like character created by the German graffiti artist Hertbert Krake a.k.a. Tarkin. And we will see more from Mr. Edge in the future as Armin Strom will use the character as their brand ambassador for the forthcoming models. Optimus Prime, eat your heart out!
