The new Stowa Tempora Big Eye is the revival of the 1960s Tempora chronograph from the German brand. Stowa originally launched the Tempora collection in 1968, and derived the name from the Latin word for ‘time’ in plural (‘tempus’ in plural is ‘tempora’). This new model also has a panda dial with big eyes, and some extra color settings as well.

There are four models: a panda in black with white-beige sub dials, and a reversed panda in beige with black sub dials. Then there is a green panda with beige sub dials and the last one is full black. The last also has a plain stainless steel case, just like the original, the other models come with a steel case with black diamond-like coating (DLC). Now, the original has a black bezel, here the black models have a black bezel, the plain steel has a plain steel bezel.

The Stowa Tempora Big Eye has a power reserve of 48 hours

Inside the 44-millimetter case is an automatic Sellita SW-510 caliber which can be admired through its transparent screw-down case back. Where you can see its blued screws, rhodium-plated surface, and Côtes de Genève finish. It’s a solid and proven chronograph movement with date function and in the Stowa config it delivers 48 hours of power reserve.

The DLC versions of the Stowa Tempora Big Eye come on a matching leather strap (black or brown for the green dial). The steel version get a three-row stainless steel link bracelet. All with safety deployment buckle.
