The RM 030 is pretty popular when Richard Mille decides to make a limited edition. There already has been an Americas Limited Edition for example and you could have gotten the RM030 in titanium, white gold a red gold.

Now, with the Richard Mille RM 030 Blue Ceramic EMEA Limited Edition – where EMEA stands for Europe, Middle East and Africa – the RM 030 is available in highly scratch resistant blue ceramic with a white quartz TPT case band. Quartz TPT being a material composed of hundreds of layers of quartz filaments piled on top of each other.

The RM 030 Blue Ceramic EMEA Limited Edition is powered by the RMAR1 movement. Straightforward like we said in the beginning, but not lacking technical ingenuity. Besides the hours, minutes, central seconds and power-reserve, the notable thing about the movement is that it has a de-clutching rotor. This ensures that the two barrels are never overwound. You can see if the winding function is ‘disconnected’ via the indicator at 12 o’clock.

The skeletonized RMAR1 movement can be admired through the sapphire glass on both the front and back of the RM030. A movement that has been meticulously finished with a base plate and bridges made of grade 5 titanium.
