The Panerai Luminor Marina Navy Seals is the more basic version in the Navy Seals series of the Luminor collection. While other Navy Seals versions have a chronograph function, this model is a traditional three-hander with small seconds and a date. The collection pays tribute to all the navies around the world, and this version has serious diving capabilities.

This PAM01412 is a 44-millimeter model from so called Brunito steel. Brunito is the Italian word for “burnished”, a type of polished metal. Each Brunito steel case is hand-finished to create a seasoned look that gives every timepiece a unique character. It displays a black dial with a grey smoked effect in the middle, a great match with the polished steel.

Created for military use

The Arabic numerals and hour-markers have green hues and are filled with super-luminova. And so are its hour and minute hands. The orange shaded sub seconds hand differs the entire face of the watch.

The watch was intentionally created for militaries because of the self-powered illumination capabilities and water resistance. It is tested and proven to be water resistant for 300 meters / 1,000 feet but what’s missing is a diver’s bezel. So, it’s not a hardcore diver’s tool, but more of a can-do-it-all watch.

The Panerai Luminor Marina Navy Seals has a power reserve of 72 hours

Inside is the automatic Panerai caliber P.9010, a frequently used movement by the brand. Thanks to two barrels it has a power reserve of three days. The back of the case features a Brunito steel screwed case back adorned with the United States Navy Seals logo.

The Panerai Luminor Marina Navy Seals comes on a black rubber strap, perfect for diving. Additionally, you will get a green “bi-material” recycled PET strap as well. It is limited to 862 pieces only.
