The Oris Aquis Date Calibre 400 is a new interpretation of Oris’ high-performance diver, and now available with a diameter of 43.50 millimeters. The Aquis was already introduced in 2011 and this model receives some updates and gets new dials. And customers also have a choice to go for the Calibre 400 or choose the more basic caliber 733. But first the dials.

There are five new versions in stainless steel, with a bracelet or rubber strap, either with a green, blue or upcycle dial. The latter is from recycled PET plastic which means no dial is the same. It underlines Oris’ sustainable approach to watchmaking. Furthermore, the brand reworked the sculpted lugs and crown protection, as well as the three-link metal bracelet with a broader central link. The have also reproportioned the uni-directional rotating bezel with ceramic bezel insert, making it even more suitable for diving.

The Oris Aquis Date Calibre 400 in 43.50 mm has a power reserve of 120 hours

Powering the new Aquis Date is the automatic Oris caliber 400 which is visible at the back of the case. With two barrels it offers a massive five-day power reserve, high anti-magnetism, and a 10-year service interval. Thanks to its screwed-in crown and screwed case back it sports a water resistance of 300 meters / 1000 feet.

The Oris Aquis Date Calibre 400 in 43.50 millimeters comes either on a steel bracelet or rubber strap for the green and blue version. The upcycle dial is only available with a steel bracelet. As said, the Aquis Date is also available with another caliber, the 733, which makes the model more affordable. It shaves over a 1,000 off the prices. But it comes with a little less power reserve, 38 hours vs 120 hours.
