Longines presents two new versions of the Longines Master Collection GMT in a limited edition. One comes in yellow gold and the other in rose gold, both limited to 500 pieces. They are equipped with a GMT movement. Nice to know is that the brand originally launched their first dual time‑zone wristwatch in 1925. Although these new ones do not relate directly to this first GMT, they are quite classic.
The case measures 40 millimeters, with a thickness of 10.40 millimeters. Both have a frosted silver dial with an hour, minute and second hand in yellow or rose gold. The GMT hand is executed in black. At the edge of the dial there is a 24-hour scale followed by a minute track and Arabic numerals with 4 o’clock depicted as IIII instead of IV. Which is a relic from the middle ages when Europeans used the write 4 as IIII in Roman.
Longines Master Collection GMT Limited Edition has a power reserve of 72 hours
At its transparent case back the automatic Longines caliber L844.5 can be seen. It is furnished with a silicon balance-spring and advanced components supplying a magnetic resistance that is ten times stronger than the ISO 764 standard. It delivers a power reserve of 72 hours.
The Longines Master Collection GMT Limited Edition comes on an anthracite-grey alligator leather strap with soft touch finish. And it is secured with a tongue buckle in 2N 18 ct yellow gold or 5N 18 ct rose gold.
