It is a bit of a wait yet for the new Bentley Continental GT, so if you do not have the patience and have a bit of money lying around: check the Breitling for Bentley GT Dark Sapphire Edition.
The GT Dark Sapphire Edition is a bit smaller than the humongous Breitling for Bentley B06 Midnight Carbon. Just 1 millimeter, but is shows. They are both powered by the COSC certified Breitling B06 caliber. Entirely developed and produced in the Breitling Chronométrie workshops of course.
The Breitling for Bentley GT Dark Sapphire Edition is limited to 500 pieces
Noteworthy about this movement is its ingenious ‘30-second Chronograph’ system inspired by a 1926 Breitling patent. It has a central hand completing a full sweep of the dial in half a minute. Thus, ensuring extremely accurate readings of times to the nearest eight of a second.
If Breitling is to be believed, the Bentley nod comes in the form of the dark sapphire dial, which has the same diamond motif appearing in some of the areas of the Bentley Continental GT interior. Nice try, but nevertheless it doesn’t look too bad.
What is impressive is the case made of Breitlight. The material is ultra-light, ultra-sturdy and is extremely resistant to scratching and corrosion, along with non-magnetic, thermal stability and non-allergenic properties.
